The Spicy Romance Book Club Reviews

I’ve spent some time browsing thespicyromancebookclub.com, and I do like that they have a solid mix of romance genres and tropes. I found enemies to lovers, small-town romance, darker romance, and a few others that were fun to look through. That said, it felt kind of uneven to me. Some tropes had tons of options, while others were limited, which was a little disappointing. It’s not a bad site at all, but for what I expected, I was hoping the variety would feel more balanced. I’d appreciate some kind of credit or compensation if they’re working on improving the selection, because the experience just felt a bit mixed. Overall, 3 stars from me.

I had a problem with my order and ended up emailing them twice. The first reply took almost a week, and, uh, it didn’t really answer the question I asked.
To be fair, they were polite once they finally responded, but the slow back-and-forth made the whole thing annoying. I do like the idea of the club, I just wish their support was a bit more on top of things

I found a few really fun reads here and ended up enjoying it more than I expected. A couple of the weaker picks felt avoidable, but overall it was a good mix and definitely not bad at all.

I don’t think it’s bad by any means, but it feels like the selection should be curated a little more carefully. If people are spending their time and money here, it’s only fair that the quality feels more consistent

I signed up for the subscription thinking it’d be a fun little treat each month, but honestly… I was kind of confused by the value?? The book picks were fine, nothing terrible, but nothing that made me feel like I couldn’t have just found them on my own. The extra club stuff didn’t really add much for me either. Maybe other people get more out of it, but I ended up feeling like I was just paying monthly for something I could’ve easily done myself, so I cancelled quickly.

The spice ratings were mostly right where I expected them to be. One book felt a little off to me, but that’s probably on me for assuming my own spice tolerance is the standard. Still, it was helpful overall.

well... the site gets the job done, and I did eventually find some book club info I was looking for. It just took a bit more clicking around than I expected, and a few pages felt kind of cluttered.

It worked okay overall, but using it on my phone wasn’t super smooth. A clearer menu and a little less scrolling would make a big difference. Not a bad site, just a little clunky...

I got this for a friend thinking it would be a fun little gift, but when it arrived I was kind of like, oh... this doesn’t really feel very giftable. The idea itself is cute, and I still like what it’s going for, but the packaging or overall presentation just didn’t feel special enough to hand over as a present. I ended up feeling a bit awkward about it, like I maybe should’ve bought something else to go with it

The item arrived safely and was packed really neatly. Everything was in good condition, and nothing got bent or damaged, so I’m happy with the overall delivery

I ordered three specific books and somehow received two that I didn’t even choose. It was frustrating because I was really looking forward to the ones I picked, and I hate feeling like I wasted money or missed out on what I actually paid for. Support did eventually respond, but it took longer than I expected, which made the whole thing even more annoying.

I picked up the exclusive editions they Look really Great in person. The designs feel special without being too over the top, and I’m Happy with them.

I’ve been waiting over two weeks for my order and still don’t have it. What’s more frustrating is that the communication hasn’t been clear at all, so I’m not even sure what’s going on or when it’s supposed to arrive
